Volunteers have the opportunity to be gifted with ConBucks (see volunteer opportunities here)
at a rate of one ConBuck per hour (some jobs are double-hours; see volunteer page for details.)

Gaming? Yes, ICON has GAMING

The Cedar Rapids Room is dedicated to gaming starting Friday afternoon and running through Sunday afternoon

And of course the Mindbridge Game Library with it's hundreds of games will be available for free use by our attendees!

2DKits will be at ICON 39!

2DKits.com is a creation of Dwayne and Dale. Playing with simple electronic circuits (in this case, blinkies),
they found it was unpleasantly expensive to create a handful of boards, as the price breaks don't kick in
until several hundred boards. And don't even get them started on the individual components...

2DKits is their way to do heavy electronic geeking, and allow other people to have fun at a reasonable cost and keep them from going broke in the process.

Currently Dale and Dwayne have several "blinkie" kits for sale. They are small boards running various PIC processors (16F688 and 12F683) to drive flashing patterns on various arrangements of LEDs, some with a push buttons, with communication via the RC-5 IR protocol. Without sounding too gushy, they are probably near the top in terms of expertise regarding these PICs. Well, that's what you get when you cross years of software engineering design experience, PICs, LEDs, and fun.
